At East Burwood Cricket Club, we’re more than just a cricket team—we’re a community that feels like family. We’re committed to providing a nurturing space where your child won’t just learn to play cricket, but will also grow in confidence, resilience, and character. In today’s tech-driven world, it's easy for kids to get lost in screens. That’s why our program emphasizes the importance of teamwork, work ethic, discipline, and patience—skills that are crucial both on and off the field. We make cricket fun, ensuring kids enjoy every moment while learning vital life lessons. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to play cricket, which is why we’ve set a minimal junior membership fee of just $10 for the entire season. This includes uniforms, equipment, and access to some of the best facilities in the eastern suburbs. We aim to take care of our families, making cricket accessible to all. Our dedicated and passionate coaches are committed to giving juniors the attention they deserve. Unlike many clubs that prioritize senior teams, we put our juniors first, ensuring they receive top-notch coaching and support. Your child will be guided by experienced mentors who are as invested in their development as you are. Our club opens its arms to everyone, regardless of background. We share a common love for cricket, and we’re excited to welcome new players into our community. We’re on a mission to infuse our cricket playing group with fresh talent. While we currently boast a healthy 3 teams, we’ve identified a need for more youth in our ranks. This season, we’re going on a massive recruiting drive to secure as many players as possible, enhancing both our junior program and senior teams. Over the next couple of seasons, we’re gearing up for some truly groundbreaking developments that will revolutionise our club. From cutting-edge facilities to innovative programs, we're setting the stage for a new era. To match these thrilling advancements, we're looking to expand our cricketing family by building a vibrant and dynamic player base and community that truly embodies the spirit of these remarkable changes. Exciting times are ahead at East Burwood Cricket Club! Join us and be part of this exhilarating journey as we elevate our club to new heights! Whitehorse Council is investing a monumental $140,000,000 into the East Burwood sports precinct, including our state of the art $10,000,000 two-story pavilion facility (yeah, read that again) that promises an unparalleled community sporting experience. Alongside this, we're excited about our $600,000 brand-new cricket net redevelopment, enhancing our already impressive facilities consisting of two meticulously maintained grounds. At East Burwood Cricket Club, we have three senior sides affiliated in the Box Hill Reporter District Cricket Association, playing in DOROTHY McINTOSH Shield, D Grade and G Grade.
We are well placed to welcome any interested new player of any ability or experience. OUR MEMBERSHIP FEES WILL BE $300 FOR NEW PLAYERS AND WE WILL BE ABLE TO SUPPLY YOU WITH CRICKET GEAR TO GET YOUR CRICKETING JOURNEY STARTED :) GAMES WILL BE PLAYED ON SATURDAY AFTERNOONS (1PM - ROUGHLY 6PM OR EARLIER DEPENDING ON WHAT GRADE YOU PLAY) AND TEH SEASON RUNS FROM LATE SEPTEMBER UNTIL EARLY MARCH.
